Temperance is the Balancer between predictability and change, caution and adventure. In the same way, the burrowing owl is active both during the day and at night, and is as happy to run around on the ground as fly in the sky. This card can signify a middle path and a safe haven to return to if one’s explorations go awry; reversed, it may mean it’s time to assess the parts of one’s life and world that are out of kilter and in need of adjustment or adaptation.
