First, be aware that it happens to all of us, and others have felt the way you do–it’s NOT just you, believe me. I know it’s not easy to just not let that sort of thing get to you, but let today be a day where you start thinking of ways to pull yourself out of that tailspin when someone knocks you off course. Maybe you need to just talk to yourself and pick apart the many ways in which that person was wrong about you. Or maybe you can go to a friend or family member you trust and ask them for reassurance. It might also help to spoil yourself a little, treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated. It won’t take away the mean people of the world, but if it helps keep you from falling down that hole of feeling like crap, it’s worth the effort.
